Life has been insanely busy and hard the last five weeks. My grandmother has been in the hospital for four weeks, she then had exploratory surgery at the age of 92 and has had some issues since the surgery. She is currently in a rehab facility, expected to be there for two weeks and is working to being able to go home. Living 2400 miles away from her and my dad is extremely hard when things like this happen. I made the last minute decision to pack-up and drive down to be with her while she is in rehab because things are not as steady as we had hoped for.
The day she landed in the hospital, happened to be the day after my husband had to fly out for work. He was gone for three weeks, home for all of 3 days before I packed up and drove to FL to be with my dad and grandma. I am exhausted, miss my husband and just want to see my grandma be able to go home. My mind is not in the right place to get out a Blog, I’m sorry. I know I post a few consistently and then it seems like I disappear for a couple of weeks.
I’ve had so much going on and trying to sit down at the end of the day to get a blog out has not been in the cards for me. My brain has been on my grandma and fighting with myself about coming down or not. I am so glad I did, I NEEDED to see her. You know that feeling when you just need to put your eyes on someone yourself, hearing from family that they are ok just isn’t enough! I will get a blog out as soon as I can. Hopefully Friday, as I will be sitting with her all day at the rehab.
