Just a quick life update.…I could use a slow down but, things have been so good for us I don’t want one! All the kids are doing great and the grandkids are growing like weeds! The youngest grandson graduated from Pre-K today, he looked so grown in his little cap and gown! We are so proud of him.
Our youngest is going into her senior year and we are so happy to watch her graduate next year. Our oldest is starting her third year of college and she’s doing great. Hubby is working hard, as always and unfortunately has been traveling more than usual. That part sucks! But, even with him traveling like he has, our marriage is better than ever. We will celebrate 22 years together next month!
We have some great travel plans for this summer. First up, South Dakota with my mom to show her Mount Rushmore and Custer State park. Of course, we will make sure she see’s all the good stuff too. After that, back to Utah! It’s become one of our favorite places to go explore.
I’m really excited about our trip down to the mountains in CO. We will be staying a hot springs resort, it’s beautiful and a perfect sport for hubby and I to have a nice getaway. We will be celebrating our anniversary while there. So, it will definitely be a romantic four day getaway for us.
We will be doing our “End of the year S’mores” with my bestie and her husband this weekend. It’s been our tradition for years at the end of the school year and we love it. We will be doing it without my girls after next yr but, my nephew will never let it not be something we do. And I love him for that, so much!
I have unfortunately entered into the insomnia stage of perimenopause and it is God Awful! I’ve had the itchy skin for a while now, the hot flashes are getting better and the attitude…well, I’ve always had that (so I’m told) so I’m not sure how much worse it has gotten. HaHa
We are making plans to see the grandkids, it’s harder than I thought it was going to be because they are in two different states and the age difference is big, 14 to 2! But, the middle ground for meeting is the beach (The most beautiful beach) so, I think it’ll be pretty easy to get everyone on board with that!
